The Common Admission Test’s (CAT) were conducted across this country on Sunday and one common advice amongst others, from the experts for students taking the test was to attempt what they were familiar with first before proceeding to the other questions. If Dhoni was to attempt this exam he would no doubt have flunked from what was on display at Jaipur.

A very long time ago a chieftain called Suraj Sen afflicted with a deadly disease was cured by a hermit saint called Gwalipa. Out of gratitude to the holy man Suraj Sen founded a city which he named after the saint which is today known as Gwalior. Pakistan however, in the same city was not as lucky as no saint was on hand to cure them for their batting affliction known as dithering.

In this case while it indeed was a Sunday, Malik’s puzzling gamble to invite India to bat backfired. The decision was spurred on obviously by the triumphant run chase achieved at Mohali.

 Teachers dread to have students who leave a class more confused about the subject taught than when they arrived. Fans streaming out off the ground after the game as well as for the millions watching on TV, humming the 70’s Kishore Kumar song with the above title would have best summed up their feelings. They must be scratching their heads still not quite sure how it all happened.

Tea tasting is a very delicate and intricate skill that one should posses naturally and only then can one hope to further refine it with experience. Tasters are much in demand in these parts and like them, Dhoni seems to be on his way honing his game and captaincy skills which one hopes will one day rise to levels that connoisseurs of the game of cricket will appreciate as any tea drinker does of Assam’s finest brew.
