Mumbai: Former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist on Tuesday confirmed he was a big fan of Indian one-day captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Gilchrist, who is in India on a promotion tour, said he’d pay any amount of money to watch the Indian captain bat. Gilchrist said, “As a player, the biggest compliment for me is when people say they pay to see me bat. I would like to say the same for Dhoni.

“In India, you talk about the big four, but I think with Dhoni it's becoming the big five! He is an exciting cricketer and what's amazing is that he has been able to match his batting stats with his wicket-keeping.”

Elaborating on what he liked about Dhoni, the flamboyant Aussie said, “He has the calmness and has a galvanizing effect on the team. He is a very good ODI captain and I'm sure down the track, it is inevitable that he will take over as the Test captain too.”

Well, K3 has been berating the Dgians for not responding to good news about MSD and /or not reporting good news related to MSD.

So poondu made sure that he got a response in on a thread that praises MSD.

My response was meant to point out to poondu that his response should have been like finey's -- a simple 1. (not sure if you were here on the DG at that particular time, but for a period, fineleg resorted to starting threads or posts with "1" in order to boost his post count = which also got him more runs, all because kslice stole his already accumulated runs. Quite a bit of drama that was).
