Retributive justice?
« on: April 10, 2007, 03:43:33 PM »

A colossal failure of the SG-SRT-RD-VVSL-AK group was not in esstablishing the players union on a firm footing. Very rarely does Indian cricket have a collection of stars of comparable ability, each a bona fide match winner in at least one form of the game. It is even rarer that the group actually was compatible, even friendly. Thus the group of 5 listed above was truly unique.

They ignored the union, and let it languish. In my opinion SRT was one of the bigger offenders, always shunning confrontations and focussing on conforming to rather than challenging BCCI rules. Today he has to "show cause" for essentially defending his name from vile propa*a spread by a coach and/or BCCI.

If I were him, I would refuse and go to court if there was any legal basis to do so.

Remember what Pastor Niemoller said?

This is the case with all our goody boy cricketers as well as much of our educated middle class [whose reflection you will find in ample on this DG].
