Lee-Tait combo to terrorise batsmen

April 10, 2007

AUSTRALIA captain Ricky Ponting wants to break convention and unite speed kings Brett Lee and Shaun Tait in a pace attack that could rock the cricket world.  Ponting has challenged the thinking that there is room for only one tearaway in his side and believes Glenn McGrath's retirement after the World Cup will provide room for both men in both forms of the game when Lee returns from injury next summer.

One 3-31 and Tait becomes a bowler who can terrorise batsmen world over???

Well, we'll have to wait and see...

tait's eco rate was about 5.7 until the england game.

But the problem is that he would be successful against India IF the pitch has even a bit of pace and bounce (or lateral movement).

When he goes to SA he would get beat up
