Do you think that we are in store for a double ya triple from Veeru - would be great for his confidence.  he can then murder the Pakistani attack in the next couple of tests.

i hope so. he didnt seem very pleased with his 100, almost bored. he took off his helmet nearly as an afterthought. no smile, no brandish or pointing  of the bat.
is this the new Viroo he promised or is it just the easiest pitch in the world?

It is an easy pitch no doubt..prolly even easier the the Multan pitch..but then a 100 is a 100 and in some style it has come as well.

I just have a sneaking feeling though..that he will get bored pretty soon..

I hope I am wrong.

Veeru has SR over 100 where as Dravid has below 40.  It's easy but keeping SR over 100 is not that bad in a test whatever the pitch may be - and he is opening the openings.

Akhtar just bowled a ball at 152 kph. Siva commented "bit of a change in action that time, a bit slingier"
anyone else reading deeper into what Siva just said? he was spot on, by the way.

300 for 0 - will they be able to break Pankaj Ray and Vinu Mankad's record of 413 runs?

57.4 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, one run, short and a bit of width, Sehwag
cuts uppishly and the ball almost carries to the third-man
fielder. That brings up the second fastest double-century in the
        history of Test cricket

dhruvdeepak:

you will be reported for having exquisite taste in women. That is a SIN on this DG.

We talk about men here  --only

RD, SG, GC, RSD (well, maybe Lata, but only in reference to RSD)

and the Sanjay Manjerekar / Ramiz Raja romance with Ramiz referring to "young hard ones"

I suggest VS should go for Lara.

And India should remove the Jayasurya/Mahanama ignominy by posting a 600 partnership and a grand total of exactly 1000 runs!

Any takers?

Oh, how I love this. All I ask of the openers is to go for the following:

600 partnership.

Veeru: 401

Veeru: 5x6 in an over [am I sounding greedy?]

Chuckter going for 200 runs in an innings without a wicket!

Is that too much?

Nathan Astle hit the fastest 200 against england. he broke Adam Gilchrist's record set just a month prior to that.

I believe VS is the 2nd fastest 300 scorer behind hayden --he was in line to break that but slowed down a tad at multan.

250 -- dont know --there have been too many 250+ scores.

astles 200 was in one of those tiny NZ fields with incredibly short boundaries...

true but it was an incredible assault -- in the 4th innings with a 500+ target needed to win. And with pretty much cairns (injured) and the tail for company he took the score to 400 something before NZ were dismissed and lost the test.

splendid innings. of course smaller ground meant boundaries came easier
