There has been many glorius moments in Indian Cricket.  These are the moments when India has won great matches.  Every Indian Cricket Player wants these moments to be forever and feels proud of it.  Every Indian fans likes it.  Some of these moments are.   

In 1971 India won its first test series against  West Indies In West Indies and later on went on winning the first series against England on England soil under the captaincy of Ajit Wadekar. This was first overseas win for India and also the start of career of Sunil Gavaskar.  Other such glorius moment was when India won the world cup in 1983 under captaincy of Kapil Dev.  India was not favourite to win it and considered as an average team and the prediction of their winning the cup was 1 out of 66.  But Indian team with its strong and tremendous postive approach won the cup.  This helped in the promotion of cricket in subcontinent.  Then in 1985 India went on winning the Benson and Hedges One day Tourament which was almost like the world cup and all test playing countries participated in it.  Ravi Shastri was awarded as Champion of Champions. Sunil Gavaskar was leading the Indian team at this moment.  It was the peak time in Indian One day cricket and and the most ot team members were all rounders.  In 1986 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev India beat England on England soil by 2-0 in test series.  This was overseas win after many years.  India also beat England 3-0 in test series in India in 1993 under captaincy of Mohd Azharruddin. .  This was first time when Indian team won all the test matches in a series.  In 2004 India won Test and One day series in Pakistan for the first time in history.  India won test series by 2-1 and one day series 3-2.   In 2003-04 India drew the test series in Australia with its splendied performance.  On seeing the Indian performance even Australians commented that India Australia matches are  more interesting than the Ashes and india can give australia a run for their money if they play according to their merit. Saurav Ganugly was the captain at these glorius moments.  In the recent past India won the series against west indies by 1-0 even thought the Indian team didnt played to thier full potential.  this was under the present Indian Captain Rahul Dravid.


Everyone cricket fan feels proud of such moments in India and prays for Indian win.  Still the most remembered moments till date are world cup win 1983,Benson and Hedges win in 1985,Indias first overseas win in West Indies in 1971 and Indian win in Pakistan in 2004.  There are even more instances of Indian wins but words are short to mention it.  Indian fans hope that Indian team makes this as a habit and continues to win the matches in the coming future to make thier country proud of it.
