Achu,  I am not in much of a mood for discussing cricket. The WC loss hurts ofcourse. But will say that you are being unfair in saying that I exonerate RD. I think he gets the full blame for all the things u have mentioned. His running, catching and fielding on top of poor choices in players (though Sehwag was the only player who gave us a chance against lanka). And ofcourse his captaincy. Actually LN has been proved right on his distrust of RD.
My point wasnt that I exonerate RD. But the fact that SG and SRT dont deserve to be 'rewarded' after this. Both of them were a HUGE reason for our loss. DD will tell us some SG stories and he has more credibility than me on this. I will though say that all three of the 10K men need to take responsibility. All three should step down. RD of all of them can still say he has something to give as a batsman... and thats all he has left.

OK back to topic and the good part.

Suraj is indeed right about me being a light weight. The three beers at Wheeltapper had me tipsy enough and then the Hard stuff at the Japanese place had me on cloud nine. Like I said, I was tipsy enough not even to feel the beatings of the wife. And the other part of me being 'Joru ka gulam' isnt even a secret. Proud to be whipped!

But despite that I say you need your ball and chain. Dont you think you would enjoy these escapades of late night fun a lot more if you know you have 'escaped'? I mean to appreciate light .... etc etc (Biwi aaj ghar pe hai ... cant take a chance of her reading this).

And about a Ganguly fan at home. That secret is still safe. There is this quality among the Gangulians that they dont comprehend such things when it doesnt serve their agenda of painting people in certain pictures.

But all in all a great evening of fun. I have to now find reasons to make business trips to the east coast. A great group of people to spend an evening with.

CP

my point no matte how many times you flippantly dismiss it is this:

you lose no time in continously baiting or writing provocative threads and posts for the last 18 months about SG. i wonder if you would do the same about RD now? my guess is that you will be hypocritical about it as always and not do it.

Ofcourse I wont do it. There are two reasons for that

1) I am too disappointed at our performance and dont have the energy and the passion left to labor the point. U can say I have given up on the team. wonder what is worse giving up or actively and passionately criticizing.

2) I think RD as a player is still our best player. As a captain he needs to (and will be) booted out. Rightly so. But he has not gone through anywhere close to the kind of form slump and poor play as SG did. No one was as crappy as SG. Not even SRT and I still want SRT to retire or kicked out. If you read the little i have posted so far, what disgusts me the most is the possibility of SG or SRT becoming captain. These beeps need to just go away now.

we saw what crappy RD has been upto in the last 1 year as far as batting goes. he has gone back into his shell and not only that he has become the crappiest fielder in the team. so just by calling SG crappy does not make you less full of * mate.

Thank you achu.

If you think RD over the last year was as bad or worse than SG over his bad period I guess I will just shut up. Nothing left to say.

and Cp if thats all you have made out of what i have been replying shows how much you are actually serious of really debating about cricket. serious mate calling people names like "crappy" only shows how immature your outlook to life is.

Looks like achu is bored again today

How do you guys still have energy to discuss this team ??? ???

The only positive I got from the WC loss is focus away from cricket into maybe other sports and activities

Hiding under the garb of disappointment over  team performance knowing that the bluff has well and truly been called is a very old formula....

Should try something new....no...not now...you are too tired for that  ...maybe later ...say two three years from now when the trio have retired from all forms of the game

happy baseballing  ::zzz::

- One of the mods (easy to guess) will soon be humped by all and sundry because his live reports are that SG sucked big time in the WC and majority of the blame for the WC loss rests with him. I will let him narrate the interesting tidbits from the actual WC site on his own

Ok..if this mod (easy to guess) does not spill the beans soon..I may have to travel to Toronto and give a kick in his sorry ass ;) ;) [Oops, I may get banned for this.. this is all said in jest, apologize in advance to DD and the mods and the DG]. I cant wait anymore..enough teasing.
DD's reasons were very valid too. I was impressed by his insight. But what tickled me was that the only time he showed any frustration about watching a disappointing game was when he let loose about SG
