This is with regards to the future of the discussion groups. Here is what is going to happen.

The SightScreen DG will be in operation till February 28, 2006. Prem’s blog will be linked to this DG.

On March 1st, the SightScreen DG will become inoperational. The Other DG (Indian Cricket Discussion Forum -ICDF) will then be the DG that we shall visit for discussions.

The topics from the SightScreen DG will be archived and members of the ICDF DG will be able to access it –this way we shall not lose access to the valuable discussions that we have been having over the last several months.

So in essence the current set up will continue, just the DG address will change. 

As it is now, the DG will continue be hosted and operated independently.

The ICDF DG is currently up and running  -- this is to ensure a smooth transition of members from the SightScreen DG to the ICDF DG come March 1, 2006.

The running of the ICDF DG will be modified slightly – an expanded list of moderators and contributors will be in place to deal with the increased member volume. New moderators added to the ICDF DG will be Manish Varma (Worma) and Arjun Swarup. General rules will remain pretty much the same as on this DG.

Can we have the number of posts we had made in the other DG added up with what we have here? This will help me realise my lifelong ambition of becoming a test or ODI player!

haha we did consider merging the two dg's physically, but it will be a nightmare...

I am not sure is Manish/Arjun have been visiting this dg that often. if they are not what is th epoint of making them the moderator? Have they accepted this offer or volunteered?

What kban posted was drafted and approved by all individuals concerned. If you didn't notice, Arjun posted on the other board. Until March 1st, they continue to be seperate boards. But after March 1st, the operations will combine, until such time, I do not accept either to be active here.
