I was under the impression that what would rank as one of the Top 5 moments in Indian Cricketing History would have served to unite fans in celeberation.  Wishful thinking. The Indian Coach got blasted for trying to take partial credit for his involvement in the game.

BTW...as one of those who had written off Ganguly and repeatedly stated it, I have had my fill of crow and I have never tasted anything better. It maybe just two innings but he looks young, fit and hungry for fit for many more battles.

Other thoughts on the first test.

Our bowling performance was very good but there is reason to be cautious. Our bowlers did well there in WC 2003 and visting sides with decent bowlers have also had success. I don't know that we can reproduce this kind of effort consistently and I am not sure we know how to bowl in more difficult conditons outside SA.

Yeah, we should not go overboard with our bowling performance on the strength of one test alone. In the past too, we had great performances from individual bowlers ( how else could we have won all those matches?!!) in a match followed by absolutely abysmal bowling in the very next! Let's keep our fingers crossed at least until the end of this series.
