1. Whichever team wins will be by a huge margin--whoever is angrier--the Inzamamanians who are upset about the dismissal or the Dravidinians who are upset about the light.
2. India will once again fail to bowl the overs in time. Because you know, our bowlers bowl really fast, so they have long run-ups.
3. Powar will most likely play, bowling at most 6 overs.
4. Sehwag will again fall to Asif
5. Dhoni will score a breathtaking 100.

Looking at Indian bowling strength, no way India will win any matches in PAK.

SL played well against AUS....SL seems to be picking up form.....that means India is slightly better than BD in standings.

"Slightly better than BD in standings"-- ouch, that's a little too harsh.

I feel Powar should definitely play. VS is due for his next big one. I feel he should open and take advantage of the first five overs -- get some boundaries and get the ball rolling.

I feel Asif is having a Macgrath like effect on the Indian batsmen; he bowling a steady, unerring line outside off stump (with a little bit of bounce and away movement) and letting his victims do the rest themselves. I think the Indians should plan a calculated assault on the newcomer. Even if a wicket is lost, one has to bring his confidence down a peg or two. Otherwise, with stats like 3 for 30 in 9.4 overs, in what is a high scoring game, he is being too much of a mental burden on the upper-middle order. He might turn out to be the decisive factor in what will be a high scoring series.

In order to counter Asif, one of our top-order batsmen, Sachin or Sehwag or Dhoni, have to attack him from the word go. A start similar to what Sachin gave us during the last WC against Pakistan will be needed in order to reduce the Asif threat. once that initial rhythm is destroyed, it'd do wonders for our team. Let's hope someone takes him on. I'm counting on Sachin or Dhoni.

Unfortunately, Sachin rarely ever takes any risks anymore.  Sad, but true.

Absolutely Dex. This Asif chap needs to be taken apart. It will be disastrous if he becomes the bogey man.

DISCLAIMER warning:
If u dont like pessimistic prediction, pls. skip this post.

Prediction: Pak will win.
Our bowling is too useless.
If Ind bats first, Pak will chase any score against a useless attack.
If Ind bats second, our batsman (unfortunately) tend to get fazed by huge totals.

I would love for our beloved team to prove me wrong today, but usually (barring WC encounters), Pak energy is far more than Ind energy in ODI's and they will beat us quite convincingly.

yes ...SG was the man of the match for his century. he set the platform for that great chase...Oh !! incidentall, SG has 30 MoM awards next only to SRT with 51....and the former is not part of the nucleus of the ODI team
