First of all, does anyone know a site that streams Zee Sports by any chance? Mucho thanks...

Would it be at all possible to add Zee Sports for the next 3-4 days so we can watch Davis Cup (tennis tie between india and korea). Help will me much appreciated

Oh-Hee Kwon/Woong-Sun Jun v Leander Paes/Mahesh Bhupathi

Sunday, from 700 hrs IST
Hyung-Taik Lee v Rohan Bopanna

Bad News: Lee is a top-100 player
Good news: Korean #2 is injured.
Bad News: It's been snowing like crazy
Good news: We will win the doubles no matter what  ;)

Don't be too sure about the doubles either-- Mahesh and Leander have struggled a few times of late when playing together.

I knew it-- my expectations were very low for this match.  The fact is we are almost never going to win when we do not get to play at home or play on grass.  The really interesting tie will be when we likely play Pakistan in the next round.  If we end up playing in Pakistan, I would not be too confident about winning that either.  Pakistan has one very good player on grass-- Aisam Qureshi, whom I don't think will lose to any of our players.

The ace Indian doubles pair beat Kwon-Oh Hee and Jun Woong-Sun 6-2, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 to narrow Korea's lead to 2-1.

WooHoo.
now we need a leander-esque perfomance tomorrow to clinch this tie.

Well...it's confirmed-- India will play Pakistan in the Davis Cup!  Our boys just got a hammering at the hands of the South Koreans.  Hopefully, they can put up a better show against the Pakistanis, although, I would not be too confident.  Should be a close tie.

I think Leander really needs to play singles against Pakistan.  Bopanna and Amritraj simply aren't cutting it in singles.  I would much rather prefer Leander playing on the first day.  I think we should also play on hardcourt, not grass.  The Pakistanis always play on grass at home.  We have Harsh Mankad whose favorite surface is hard court and is probably our best singles player, but does not play well on grass.  We should play Mankad and choose hard courts.

My lineup would be:
1 singles: Harsh Mankad
2 singles: Leander Paes
doubles: Paes/Bhupathi

surface-- hard

If we decide not to play Paes in singles, we should definitely choose Chennai as the venue.  We want extremely hot and humid conditions because the Pakistanis rely on just two players to play all the matches.  Let's tire them out with our advantage over them-- depth.

Sahir,
Couldn't agree with you more on PA and RB. They've let us down big time. The Korean #2 wasn't even playing this tie and they've lost to Korean#3 and Korean #4 all ranked 600+. About harsh though...now, I'm making his official site and like the guy, but he's going through a very bad patch in the challengers right now. His ranking will most likely drop in the 300s in a month or so if he cannot defend all the points he'd earned last year when he was in spectacular form.

As per the draw released by the International Tennis Federation today, India will host Pakistan in the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group-I relegation tie to be played during the April 7-9 weekend. The previous tie between India and Pakistan which was to be hosted by Pakistan in 1973 was played at a neutral venue in Malaysia in the year following the last war between the two countries, and thus the host for this tie had to be determined by a coin-toss. The coin fell India's way in a very important tie.

India has an unblemished record against Pakistan in five Davis Cup ties in the past, beating Pakistan 5-0 in Lahore in 1962, 4-1 at Poona in 1963, 4-0 at Lahore in 1964, 3-1 at Patna in 1970 and 4-0 in Kuala Lumpur in 1973. The venue and surface of the upcoming tie in India will be decided over the next few weeks. As Pakistan is considered very comfortable on grass courts, their favorite surface for home Davis Cups, India may need to rethink the customary plan for playing all the home ties on grass courts, as has been done for over a quarter century.  This tie promises to be very exciting; much is at stake, as the loser gets closer to being relegated to the lower tier, group-II of the Asia-Oceania region .. The loser will play a September tie against the loser of the China-UZB tie .. Losing that one would relegate the team to group-II, which would require them to play two years of regional ties to have any hopes of making it to the world group final-32 in 2009.
