wonder whats with the ankles of these young seamers? SS had an ankle problem in DLF tourney or just before that and now munaf. Is it a technical problem? In any casse I think we will need to make 2-3 changes for the next game and raina and munaf would be out. I think IKP and Viru are good replacements considering how weak our batting is. Another change that may come about is jaffer being dropped and a bowler added ( AK wud be my chocie if the pitch is dryish) with IKP being good enof to bat in the top 7.

avinash,
The pitch is said to be bone dry. AK is said to have bowled very well in the practice match at Benoni where there was pace and bounce. Hopefully, he does that here on a slower but still a good pitch with plenty of bounce. The SAfricans will have to be weary of playing the sweep and in this team, only Kallis has some decent experience against AK. Also, it looks like SAfrica is planning to bring in their left arm pretender for one of their pacers. Things couldnt look better for the Indians. THe big Q is, are our players good enough to take advt of these minor incidents.

The fitness level of this team has gone down drastically. Everyone has become injury-prone.
When shall we achieve the 'next -level'...Mr. GC?

Ankle injuries can happen anytime, to be fair. I'm a fast bowler prone to hurting my ankle as well. Its just one of those things.

fully agree with you dex but somehow I feel these guys either have a technical glitch where they put a lot of stress on their ankle. I , for example, have a groin problem, everytime I bowl a long spell i feel the twitch in my groin, i know its due to my action. a;lso they are not letting these injuries completely heal i feel.

true, avinash. i suppose at this level, with the support staff, they would be expected to help with such recurring niggles. i wish my team had a support staff too!!

You think the twitch in your groin is due to your action or due to inaction?

Avinash, all teams have people looking into these kind of problems. I think the SAfricans and Kiwis started using specialists. GC also tried/is still using people for this. Of course, our desi ex-cricketers have still not finished spewing venom on these measures.
Of course, there are some exceptions. For eg, Ashish Nehra seems to have an unusual action, which needs wholesale changes to correct. But most others should be fine with minor tweaks. As for Munaf, I think, most importantly, he needs to improve his general fitness. Fast bowlers of this modern age cannot sleep at long leg, saying they just finished a tough over. Munaf should idolize McG in this regard.

Not sure why anyone should care about the twitch in your groin area.  ;D
