I dont know whether this strip will ease up later .. but looking at it now, i think anything above 175 will be difficult for Pak to chase against the SA pace attack - Langevelt has come in for Peterson .. so its five pacers out there

Have you seen a greener pitch in India in recent times? I do not think even the Nagpur or Eden Gardens pitch looked as green.

I am not sure the pitch is easing out. It is the bowling, rather.

Arafat has been a disaster. Razzaq is just about ok. Hafeez and Afridi are not as threatening on this pitch, either.

nope you can see that the ball is not moving around and carrying as much. the seam has become less pronounced. Razzaq is still beating the bat once or twice.
Good effort by Kemp and Boucher so far. 50 partnership. Arafat sucks.

I think Pakistan now have a problem - one which a lot of teams playing only 4 bowlers can face on bowler friendly wickets - especially in ODIs.

In a low scoring match, if the batting team is able to wait for the weak bowler, even a reasonable performance by the irregular bowler can have a big negative impact on the overall picture .. since scores would be low.
