Which ones give the most money back -- esp. for gas and grocery shopping?

amex also has that deal, but they provide these 5% cashback only if u spend 6500$ initially on the card. For the initial 6500$ u spend u get only 1% cashback.

Amex cards also have sky miles which you can redeem (have to trust/hope the airline is going to be around)

Those miles really add up

I have 12-14 CC, I lost count.  But out of all I found Discover to be best if you know how to use it, followed by Citigroupcards(Includes AT&T Universal) for CASHBACK and other point benefits.  For Balance transfers it would be Bank of America followed by MBNA (Now both merged a month ago).

When I bought a property in India once 2 years back I borrowed money close to 58K on CC's and literally paid no interest by juggling up between for an year taking advantage of balance transfers before I paid them back.
