WOW... Dalmiya is so happy that he could not wait for others and decided to garland himself.

Hahahaha! I can't believe that people are actually taking the effort to correct Ruchir when it is painfully obvious that he was being funny. DD need never worry about recruitment to TL101.  ;D ;D

As I see the posts on such a harmless thread, my feeling was that it was a very humerous line from Ruchir on JD.

oh dear God.

i am not one of those sneaky con-men who will rub my hands in glee at the prospect of more students. our sole aim in starting the institution was to make extinct these obsolete burdensome TLs. yes UCV may suffer as a result but that is the price one has to pay for progress.
Fall admissions will soon be open to all.

Amazing ...If one puts a "sad" face, it means the guy has not understood the joke or was being serious about what he said...and if he puts a smiley or a winkey, he has still not understood the joke...

Damned if you do...damned if you don't....Long live the likes of Ruchir and group ...some people can ne''er be wrong...because they know what is politically correct

What did I do, my friend  ???

My previous comment was not directed at you!! I understood your joke. My comment was directed at BLWE_TORCH who did not like my comment and saw the photo literally.

Next time, I'll make sure I include names in my comment. Don't get angry with me, buddy. I never made any comment on you. And yes, I don't have any group  :).

Your first post didn't have a smiley, and so was mine. What does it say of 'sense of humor' anyway? :)
was my comment politically incorrect?

1. Your first post didn't have a smiley, and so was mine -- No one needs a laughing smiley to go with a comment to let everyone know that he is putting that comment as a joke. It is upto the other person to judge the comment. If the other person sees the humor in the comment, he will treat it as a joke. If not, he will treat it as a literal comment. In this case, you obviously did not see humor in my original comment on the photo. That's you said JD is taking the garland off himself. That is what lead me to write my next comment - "So much for sense of humor".

2. What does it say of 'sense of humor' anyway? -- Your comment about JD taking off the garland himslef does say one thing about sense of humor -- that you did not see the humor in my original comment. That's all.

3. was my comment politically incorrect? -- No. Your comment was not politically incorrect. And I never said anything about that. I just made a point that you did not see humor in my original comment.

Exactly!~.....Now my comment too didn't have a smiley..but that doesn't mean, it cannot be taken as a joke too!
