Oh boy,oh boy,I can not believe I have won.I thank eveyone in this world including Pakistanis,Bangladeshis,Israelis,Lebaneses and anyone whom I might have forgotten to have helped me to achieve this maginificent award.I will go home and have Rosgullahs with Toor Dal Sambhar today.Once I have figured out where to - sorry - how to stick this award into - sorry - onto this page next to my name I will certainly do it.
No,seriously,I would like to thank DD and many others who have worked to make this happen. These sort of things, with or without winning the award will continue to make this DG lively and informative.Well done guys!
Now as part of my speech, let me tell you a small story of a Rookie:
Once upon a time in a jungle in India, there was a young lion. One day this lion woke up and decided he would be respected by all other animals in the jungle as the boss, since he now was almost a mature and strong lion.So as he walked,he met a bunch of deers and he yelled at them,"Tell me who is the mightiest animal in this jungle?".The deers all said "You oh almighty Lord" and started running while mumbling to themselves "Silly idiot!".Satisfied, the lion walked further and saw some monkeys an top of a nearby tree.He asked them the same question. The monkeys replied "Of course it is You Sir,who else?"."This guy is stupid",they told to themselves, while he was gone.
Going further in the jungle,he saw a big,old elephant who was apparently very tired and was standing still under a tree. The lion stood in front of him and shouted "Who is the mightiest animal in this jungle?".The elephant got first bored and then very irritated. He suddenly grabbed the lion with his trunk, whirled him around and threw him up against the tree leaving him dazed. The lion still got up and in a feeble voice
said to the elephant: "Just because you did not know the answer to my question, there is no reason to be so rude!!!"
Moral of the story: Even if you are a strong rookie lion, never mess with an old, experienced elephant.
