Easy recipe (for the non-DIY people):

1. Save some money.
2. Buy a car
3. Drive to a good store
4. Buy it.

Moderate recipe (for the somewhat DIY-people)

1. Look for a person that can make rasmalai.
2. Marry him/her.
3. Buy raw materials for your spouse to make rasmalai.
4. Cheer them on as they make it.

Hard recipe (for die-hard DIY people)

1. Buy a farm.
2. Buy some cows.
3. Milk them.
..........
x. Look for a person that can make rasmalai.
x+1. Marry him/her.
x+2. Cheer them on as they make rasmalai.

Hope this helps,
 ;D ;D ;D ;D

i will post what i know but it has to wait coz i have some mindnumbing tasks to complete this morning. tried posting the pic of what i made but it is too large and i am not tech-savvy enough to figure out how to reduce the size etc.

in the meanwhile, use prfsr's practical approach - it shd work coz i've employed  #2 very successfully except that i make them my "friend".

OR if you live in NJ..
Agree with DY, Akbar has good Rasmalai.. and there used to be a Bengali sweet house next to Andhra food place on Oak Tree Rd, they used to have the best Bengali sweets. Try them, if they are still there. Sukhadia's is good but slightly expensive and a tad overrated

Like i have mentioned before, i do most of my cooking in the middle of the night. I get inspired by something, then i HAVE to cook! Also i napped 4 hrs in the evening, and i usually stay up till 3.30am pretty much everyday anyways.

This is fresh flash frozen Methi from the local grocer. And i am using small baby red potatoes. Nicely fried in ghee to golden brown. Also using a bit of shallots and garlic :D

ah, those potatoes used to make "rosemary potatoes". i used to make it as a side-dish with pasta - chop them into two, pan fry them in olive oil with skin intact , dash of salt, pepper and rosemary!

Ohh yeah!!!! I love such potato preparations - 1 dominant herb elevating simple potatoes to great heights.

I usually quater them, lay them on a tray, drizzle some EVOO on them, sprinkle salt, pepper & herbs and oven roast them to golden brown. YUMMO ( I totally get why Rachel Ray says that :D )
