Did we play enough cricket?
« on: December 26, 2005, 11:24:35 AM »
I feel...we haven't played enough cricket..as much as we would have liked.
As I had posted somewhere else before that one life is not enough for cricket man!
I miss playing cricket.......as I am in athletics........athletics as in rat-race!
I hope you got what I said.
I wish I could play cricket a few more days.
Now, I try playing a bit with my 4 yr old daughter.
May be next to next life ....will be devoted for field events...not the rodent variety ofcourse!

one area that sports scores high in, but is not given credit for, is mental stimulation. at least in my case, i find sports to be the most extensive mind-exercise i can indulge in. cricket, in particular.

Yeah man...I miss playing cricket too. Last 5 years being in the US I hardly got a chance to organize a game as its possible only on weekends and even then something or the other is going on. Oh well. :(

First post here, hi everyone.

Been playing cricket in Southern California for the last 10yrs. It is a decent league, well organized and really good grounds. Get to play it from beginning of March to end of October (and then there is a winter league). But over the years as blwe_torch indicated (rat_race, kids, family etc). what i have seen is that the time to practice has really dwindled. Can't practice on weekdays anymore just show up on the ground on gameday  :) Still better than not getting to play at all.
