I think they should shoot PKs at the end of regulation and then play ET. If no score in ET, the results of PK would stand. This way at least the game will be more entertaining, as one team will have all the incentive to score.

What a match! I doubt if the final will be as good.

Well done Italy -- if not for many missed chances and 2 strikes on the post they would have won more confortably. Two awesome goals. Very crafty coach, and what a defence line!!!! I hope they recover from today though and have enough for the finals.

And Germany -- what discipline! They played with a lot of energy in the overtime and left it all on the field. They played more open than they traditionally do throughout this WC and provided great entertainment,

Very good goalkeeping on both sides as well.

As LN said, the better side won, but again, what a match!

me too. Italy deserved to win, especially with all that is going on in Serie A. They were definitely the better team in extra time and marginally so in normal time. Better luck next time for this young and good German team.
