LOL, how did you find this?
I am really annoyed with American commentary. There were a British and an Irish guys for some of the other matches and they are so much better. I hate how they pronounce Iran (like Ireland) especially!

are you sure... i thought tommy smith [that's the name, isnt it?] is the most stoopid, parochial, provincial, boorish english commentator ever... and he seems to be on espn all the time... yes, the yanks may often get the details and intricacies as well as names wrong... but they are no worse than the brits in terms of their provincialism and latent racisim...

fever,
I can stand the partial commentary from the Brits mainly because thats the best I expect them to come up with :). But recently, I am disgusted with the US commentators who keep on bringing up the US defeat and the coming game against the Azzuri. I know that they are catering to an American audience but it would be nice to stick to the game. For eg, take the Germany Poland game. I was enjoying the recording deep into the night (dont look at any result till I come back from work) and there they go barking on and on about US playing the Italians.
I hate to shut out the sound because it doesnt create the right atmosphere with the crowd noise and stadium feel ;). So, I bear with those idiots, Brits or Americans
