same thing happened to Rohit - he was set to replace VVS (i think) and got injured during warmups on the morning of the Test.

We played Saha against SA - as a batsman.

oh and incidentally, Badrinath also played that Test and scored a 50 amid a dismal collapse. the working over Steyn gave him in the 2nd inning (or the next match?) has often been quoted as a reason why he didnt get another opportunity. who hasnt Steyn worked over?
