Yes.Last ball six to win is always exciting especially when the chase is 200+. For a change it was not Gayle who made the whole run chase possible.

just because no one has comments doesn't mean it hasnt been great fun watching this tournament. never seen so many close finishes.

personally i would have preferred if only 1 or even none of the IPL teams made it to the semis. but you can't begrudge RCB their spot after that effort.

they really need to fix this player-portability issue. everybody should draw from one pool of players. and ideally have the same rules across leagues (in terms of number of internationals, salaries)

They are different leagues and different fan bases so salaries etc will be different. I dont have a problem with that. I do have a problem with the portability. One player should sign with just one (professional) team for that year. You cant have Watson and Warner open for South Australia while drawing salaries from Rajasthan and Delhi. They all should have to pick their primary teams and then not be allowed to play for another team unless there is a trade or loan agreement.

For that (and i have been asking for this) the IPL season has to be extended enough to make it worth while for players. Ideally IPL season should be 6 months just like MLB season. We can let other countries have some teams in IPL too (and extend the teams to around 30)

Did anyone notice that both MI and RCB were perfectly even when it came to the nationalities of their foreign players in the final? One each from the WI,Aus,SL and NL were in  each of the XI's.

Did anyone notice that the two teams which reached the final were  owned by two of India's two biggest new economy giants and were BCCI favourites (asides of Super Srinivasan). The winner was the team owned by India's newest feudal lord, with a penchant for making unreasonable 'requests' and getting them 'granted', like 5-foreigners in team, or increasing KG basin gas prices many-fold, after winning contract over other contenders through cheap tender.
