Test cricket is not charity match
« on: May 05, 2006, 02:15:27 PM »
hi guys , i am glad my last post got you all talking .

hope this one does too.

i may sound  opinionated , heck i am opinionated, but i can say with honesty, I love cricket and would love to see Indian team progressing well.

Test cricket is no charity match, lets give experience to X,Y,Z. Let them command a place on performance as Yuvi now does. After a couple of years, once these guys get experience and fail a few times u will loose patience with them and ask for some other younger guys to be drafted. remember while these boys get experience, oppositions also get the time and video footage to plan, test and create a strategy to get these fellas out, as has happened to Viru now. he must now make a counter-strategy

Test cricket is no charity match for kaif after scoring 91 and saving a match, and doing well against Aus.

He will have to wait, Laxman and Sachin charity case is too strong , their knees  and other injuries need to see a lot more defeats as their fans simply love to watch them come to bat and cheer once in the blue moon performance and moan about why poor things can’t perform when they get out. But they all agree they are great. India lose or win doesn’t mater.

Even God doesn’t know  when will BCCI allow selectors to give charity to Kaif , Venu, Raina . and throw out Laxman and Sachin .

Ganguly humiliation has shown we can only throw out players like Azhar, Jadeja and  countless others , no one can go with pride . too much money and charity, you see.

Yuvi is now getting well deserved charity as BCCI finally allowed selectors to  throw out Ganguly  after giving him ten years of charity.

We so easily moan the lack of fast bowlers , and spinners not doing well abroad. Do you
Ever wonder we are taking the easy way out , have you ever asked may be our great captain of 6 years didn’t use them well, or didn’t give them the right support, maybe they could have achieved much more.

Dravid is at least thinking form the bowlers point of view , he is giving them all the chance to do well , and if he persists with right rotation and hardwork policy they will come good . but batsman have to make run and till he gets bats man who have fire in their belly , they should literally hurts with hunger to score run , guts it out. Dravid innovative idea will not work . it will be sad day if all Dravid aggression has to admit defeat and go the safe route that all the Indian captain have taken . stuff the team with great self serving batsman , draw or defeat make 100  for great fans. Once in the blue moon win is enough for us fans. After all we are Indian we are expected to expect less not more.

2006 - v Pak in Pak
2005 - No series loss
2004 - Home series v Aus
2003 - No series loss
2002 - v NZ in NZ, v WI in WI
2001 - v SA in SA, v SL in SL

Table of series losses in recent years, only 2 in the last 4 years

as this table shows our friend is so easily satisfied.

But he knows it too and as we all fan knows what is hidden while we look at that table .

If any one has watched all the series played since 2000 to 2006 , will know. But we are so easily satisfied why wont our great batsman’s and fans  not moan only if we had great fast bowlers, we have such great batman. Never mind we are not consistent and cant bat on a challenging pitch. Thank you, we can make 100 and hit 4, 6 our fan will always love us . well bowlers, new goats will come after the old fools have been killed at the altar of  our greatness. We will stay . they will go. And as our fans will say test cricket is not charity , yes sir for bowlers, fielders and new batsman it is not  . for us it is.

Ofcorse.

An average of 26 in 9 tests and 398 runs with 3 fifties and no hundreds. That is Kaif's test stat. See I am big fan of kaif and i believe he has to potential to captain indian in a few years time. But right he can't buy a run even in ODIs, which has been his stronger suit.

To insist that Kaif should replace Laxman and Sachin when he is such trecherous form doesn't sound logical. its ok to be opinated, we all are , but please back ur stand with facts and logical arguments. I see no logic here, you have just gone on and on crticizing players who are rated highly by most ppl.

What is your point, what are you trying to say apart from pull all of us down and use the quote test cricket in not charity"". See ridiculing someone is very easy , most of us are mature enough here to know that. What are you acheiving here?

hi , both,
future will show us what is in store, i think we all will be  watching Indian team. if i am right , i am afraid i often am, [ sorry] if your loved players stay well i have already written what will happen . but if Dravid and selectors act on what they already know,  we will have same happiness we are seeing in odi side. we lost so much time with Ganguly but i guess we Indian will never change. we love our favourite cricketers too much, more than the team.

Hi 123of,

Please stop this line of argument " I love thee team but u ordinary lowly creatues liuv stars more than the team". I speak 4 both gourav and myself, we luv the team much more than stars. Yes time will tell but pls make some more concrete arguments rather than arun lal style " time will time"

Can we also conclude that you just hate certain cricketers and just want them out of the Indian team, at any cost, much more than the team winning  ::) ::)
