just saw it today. fantastic movie. makes you feel what everybody was going through - the fated ppl on the plane, the families, the ppl at the airport, military, everyone. i think even the terrorists were portrayed accurately - nervous, scared, but eventually murderous fanatics.

i dont presume to understand what ppl of the US felt during that time, but this movie gives a pretty good idea. i dont think anyone not from the US will be able to comprehend such an assault on everything they stand for, unless it happens to their own country (God forbid)

Would the people in the US be able to comprehend the assaults that countries outside the borders of the 50 states have had to endure — more often than not from the US?

And would there be films made to commemorate/salebrate such incidents, for example the Sept 11, 1973 CIA backed coup in Chile, the Vietnam war, the two Iraq Wars, the firebombing of Tokyo and Dresden, the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the massacre at Nanking, Bay of Pigs? And if such films are made, would you pay top dollar to see them? ;)
