94/3 at lunch. Good show by England on a batting pitch. If they can get rid of Hussey now they will have a huge advantage.

Epic Fail...

Tony Greig trying to convince everyone that the correct review decision is to give the incorrect original decision.

RP falls pushing without conviction at one that did not turn a great deal took the edge and snapped up at slip.

106/2 now.

Swann gets both the wickets.

Uphill task for the Aussies from here on and England should fancy their chances and wrap this up with a lot of time and runs to play with.

They deserve to win this Test based on how things transpired thus far.

but why do i want the aussies to win??? beats me. i just hate to see the pomstards so full of themselves.

It will be intriguing if the great Shane Warne is brought back. Has he shown any interest. May be if they make him captain. Although such thinking is Indian not Australian :)

Ha ha ha .. enjoying the GC effect on Australia. This is fun.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-1335129/ASHES-2010-Mitchell-Johnson-rage-Adelaide-axe.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Mitchell Johnson had angry words with selector Greg Chappell after being told he was being axed from the Australia side for the second Test.
In the latest display of unrest in the Australian camp, Johnson was dropped even though it seems captain Ricky Ponting was far from convinced that it was the right move to make.

Ponting's record as captain without McGrath and Warne:

40 tests, Average 42.78, 20 wins, 12 losses.

GC or not, his dropping was made into more of a public spectacle than it should have been. Is there any reason to be talking about his mental fragility? Can't really work out the reason for sharing that in public. Stupid decision. He's a matchwinner and should have been handled carefully since he's fit.

'mental fragility' is a GC patented term.

"I also told him that his state of mind was fragile and it showed in the way that he made decisions on and off the field in relation to the team, especially team selection. "

"This disturbed me because it confirmed for me that he was in a fragile state of mind and it was affecting the mental state of other members of the squad. "

So the "mentally fragile" player comes back and is about to take a 10-fer in Australia's win along with a crucial 50. Moreover I remember a statement in the media targetting Hussey, who has been a lone hand for Australia this series.

Deja vu.

hmm..one can play it both way.. for what has been mentioned in the press , MJ has gone back to base with bowling coach and found his swing back and became better mentally.
