Why should anyone be upset? No one here hates SG personally. If he performs and meets the requirements of the team.......

Which are...........?????

Ruchir's post on the comparative scores of MK and SG lists series against BD & ZIM. I thought they didn't count because they are against minnows  ???

As for the "warning" to Kaif, it may have been with a wink and a nudge! Don't play or else you will be dropped!  ;)

I believe, India needs both SG and SRT.
They are proven match-winners.
The going is good for India at the moment in ODIs.
But to ignore SG is short-sightedness on the part of More/ Team management.
Ganguly is down but not out.

and Kaif scored two big innings against NZ .. one without Bond and one with Bond (before anyone brings up the weak nature of the attack) .. one match winning and one top score in the finals

kic

i don't know if you are being naive or sarcastic here. if you are being the former than maybe we should ask kban to step in and give you a primer on the turn of events in the last one year. if it is the later then well what can i say except that i think its rather slightly on the poorer side of good taste

achu, neither naive nor sarcastic ... if SG performs and is not selected, then I agree there is an issue ... but to test that hypothesis, first he needs to perform well enough to get back into the team ... so far, he has not, at least in my view, done enough to get back into the team even if I were to select it ... till he does that, this entire line of argument remains just that .. an untested hypothesis

Which are...........?????

- some "eye-catching" form with the bat ... of course, even a zero from SG today is eye catching ... would do for starters
- visible improvement in his fielding and running between the wickets ... and i dont mean going from "very bad" to "bad" (that is visible improvement but not enough)

well jhunjhunwala has forced the issue by way of his performance.
why must he wait for someone's recommendations?
or is this the new way....you need a God-father anyway?

jaatu

ofcourse he forced his way in by sheer performance and SG can take a leaf out of his younger colleagues book.  I mentioned the fact that indian captain was impressed with his performance and had a good word to say about him....which is not bad....remember akram and waqar were picked up  by imran....
