If Ganguly pierces the off side cordon............it is inevitably a boundary....atleast in the power overs.

SG seems to have found some form. good on him.

Blwe i dont think YS deserves the captaincy one bit. he is unfit, out of form and has a poor attitude in my view. HE sure would deserve captaincy if he managed to change those 3 things. I remember someone here commenting on how it has been 10 years and he , with all his talent, has still not achieved much. True. All the talk about his being destructive and dangerous has been on view so rarely its sad.

yeah....sanga may seem smart and tactical and well-spoken, but he is an awful on-field captain. his decisions have been abysmal. makes him look like a big fkn gas-bag, talks big and flowery and doesnt deliver (not just IPL, even in the SL tour of India).

fatf*** is DEFINITELY not the right pick for captain. he is in a trough, struggling with the bat, and has never seemed cerebral enough or had the presence of a leader to warrant captaincy.

maybe even irfan is the best bet.

Captaincy would have changed all that.........he has served his punishment...if that was the intention.......i don't see Sanga inspiring this team to great heights...or to any heights, for that matter

Gayle is putting pressure on Ganguly............this may be alright against Punjab...or alright while batting first........................but if they have to chase a big total, this would be the recipe for failure.

i dont thin captaincy would help him one bit. Au contraire it would further cement his warped notions.  by your logic if a player is fat, out of form and arrogant then he shoul dbe made captain only because the current captain is not inspirational? doesnt make sense dude. i think they will let YS go after this season and he can have a fresh start at another city.

I believe in supporting mercurial and proven talent.
For me talent is paramount.....fitness and discipline, very necessary, but secondary.

Ganguly misses out....

Gayle has to make up big time........................very disappointing till now.

yes of course. the shining, radiant failures of yuvi and vinod kambli and many others to be the world's best, serve as epitomes

the difference between MSD and yuvi is clear. Yuvi had a 4 year head start on MSD. look who is captain and the best in the world. it is all hard work. not luck, arrogance and some (considerable in yuvi's case) talent.

ok. that explains it all. Talent is inherent. Not something anyone has to do anything for. Not earned.  Fitness and discipline require hard work. or atleast some effort. Talent can easily be wasted. Hardwork and discipline will payoff more often than not.

That is right....but the guys you have mentioned have a great attitude to match............and they work hard on their fitness.............ofcourse Akhtar has been a big let down for his country.
Fast bowlers are injury-prone anyway..........look at Brett Lee

Poor investment by Punjab

to take it further, yuvi had all the support and mollycoddling and everything he needed under one good captain in his early years. absolutely no excuse.

mercurial talent it seems  ;D

what does that have to do with captaincy anyway!

shoaib has a *ty attitude and Bond has been unfit , more then even the  normal fast bowlers qutoa of injuries. there are numerouys examples of talent gone to waste because of poor attitude and being unfit which i think is a by-product of attitude.

I think the commentator just described powar as rotund!! hahahah

Talent is important...they will succeed ultimately.....just as ultimately Gayle has realized that he is Gayle after all....and the opposition is supposed to be scared of him. :D

Captaincy would have changed all that.........he has served his punishment...if that was the intention.......i don't see Sanga inspiring this team to great heights...or to any heights, for that matter

so Blwe believes in rewarding undisciplined, unfit people. Now it explains your support for Ganguly too.

I believe in supporting mercurial and proven talent.
For me talent is paramount.....fitness and discipline, very necessary, but secondary.

ok. that explains it all. Talent is inherent. Not something anyone has to do anything for. Not earned.  Fitness and discipline require hard work. or atleast some effort. Talent can easily be wasted. Hardwork and discipline will payoff more often than not.

you are talking like a typical middle-class baniya.......work hard and keep the moolah coming in. :)
everyone can work hard and be disciplined...but everyone cannot be born with inspirational talent.

yeah if only sachin thought like you. "why work hard? i am great. "

this is a shameful opinion. in that i am ashamed to read this from an indian cricket fan. decades of lessons have not taught us anything. it is the tendulkars and kumbles and dravids who have taken us somewhere. not the fkn azzas and srikanths and yuvis

Frankly speaking....for worshippers of RD and Kumble....I may sound ridiculous...............but this is just a matter of personal liking........that is the way I am...............I don't have any resentment with ppl who do not agree with me...or have different likings.......live and let live..... :icon_thumleft:......i am doing fine at my own home, with my family ::cheers::
