Blwe-ism's ... Thread dedicated to Blwe
« on: April 01, 2010, 09:59:45 PM »
We can use this thread to collate the Blweism's . All Blweism's on this first post per KIC's orders

I will get us started (This is courtesy Ruchir)

the higher S/R( and I am not even bothering to check the figures...i don't give a damn    ) is may be due to the fact that SG is opening mostly
-- (Blwe on 4/2/10 his gem on opening and consolidating in the early overs. Look at sachin's or kallis's SR ... did that suffer?

Blwe talking about a fat and indisciplined YS . according to him giving him back the captaincy would have cured YS fat, attitude and lack of form.

this is a blweism if there ever was one

he is doing a good job....but he is capable of better

that 88 was too good, I thought....................I hope, he does better.
Yesterday Gayle almost frustrated him ( and later made up for that with a blinder).
Unfortunately, the bowlers and some complacency let them down.

(Very nice ..when the bowlers did very well to restrict DC in the opening match, SG's captaincy was great and got the credit. When the bowlers did not do well, SG was unfortunate.)

Quote from: Blwe_torch on Today at 12:14:31 AM
this time he is getting the credit for his batting...for inspiring Gayle to bat like he did

Quote
R Dravid c Sharma b Ojha 26 (25b 2x4 1x6) SR: 104.00

All bluster and very little to offer...

And then, this after the KKR v/s RCB match, when SG scored 33 at a princely SR of 103

Quote from: Blwe_torch on April 10, 2010, 01:07:03 PM
Quote
ganguly is not the culprit here.........as long as he was there the KKR were looking at an advantage....and that was thanks to both Gayle and Ganguly. With 2 hitters like Gayle and McCullum...it is better that we have a man who can hold on the innings a bit...which Ganguly can do well....there is nothing very wrong there

wouldn't he have been fitter and more discplined with responsibility? he doesn't even want to be playing for this team but his owners wouldn't let him out. it is like indian companies that won't let employees leave without 60 day notice, and forcing them to work on projects they don't want to be on.

look he is supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL cricketer. He did not want to play and had to? he could have sat out thanks to his injury right? I am not saying he is underperforming on purpose. far from it. i think he is fat and has an attitude problem.
SG last year may not have set the scorecard on fire but he was atleast trying. i think it was a lot harder for him compared to YS. if he can be fit POST retiring why cant fatboy?

fatboy slammed six sixes...forgot that???

its tough performing when you are not satisfied....he is a professional cricketer agreed. so what you are saying is that if you are a professional in any arena you are supposed to shut yourself to all that is defined as happiness and satisfaction??

deny or agree to that and i have a repartee in place ::cheers::

dude this is insane. he hot 6 sixes . awesome. he was in form, fit. he is currently out of form( coming back into it but so far has been way out of form). he is overweight. nobody forced him to play. your entire logic that lets reward poor form, poor fitness with captaincy makes no sense.
as for professionals bottling things up i am not saying that. what i am saying is YS needs to suck it up. he needs to do all he can to help the team he is in win. again i am not saying he is underperforming. he does need to take care of things in his control though, like his weight.

your hypothesis, which you are inaccurately attributing to me is:if you are a professional in any arena you are supposed to shut yourself to all that is defined as happiness and satisfaction?
i have not said that. what i have said is that as a proffesional he can SIT OUT. He need not have hurried back from his injury. he wanted to make money and not miss the IPL, fair enough. then put in the yards and look busy. his form i can understand. its the attitude and apparent laziness that irks me.
by your logic blwe when kambli was screwing up they should have made him the captain. his coach, who also coached another decent player with a few records, says that VK was more talented.
pure talent is worth dog doodoo if you dont hone it, work on it and keep at it. YS has not of late.

umm no. if you are injured i am pretty freakin sure you dont have to play. he WAS injured and rushed back. so quit nitpicking. you can continue believing your retarded logic that a lazy out of form player should be rewarded with captaincy for past performances but i believe that it will have a detrimental effect on both the player and the team. either which ways i give 2 turds whether the kings 11 make him captain or waterboy. all i know is that he better shape up before the wc where he represents india. someone pointed out how MSD made his debut way after YS and is now way ahead of him. talent , along with hard work and a good work ethic. you have your views , i have mine. lets agree to disagree and move on. and if you need  to be right about this to boost your ego go right ahead. you are right i am wrong.

I meant, he has to work on his tummy....it is showing. I remember, he was saying somewhere that his diving technique has gone hay-wire.....................with a tummy like that, the body-balance has changed.............. cg may have shifted a wee-bit low. :D

Don't you think so?

Earlier the upper body used to lead the dive.....and now, the lower body is leading the dive.....and so the dive is getting hay-wire.

Are you actually following the news stories? He was supposed to play for MI until Punjab refused to let him go. THey even got BCCI/Modi involved to force him. Professional or whatever, he's human. He's not going to be motivated to wake up everyday.

all said and done he is still at punjab. he might have wanted to eave and couldnt. i understand that it is demotivating to have that happen to you but come on. as i have said multiple times on this post and others, i am not saying he is underperforming. Just that he is unfit and out of form and rushed back to soon. the origins of this thread were that Blwe said he should have been given back the captaincy. this is where i am not on board. giving a disgruntled player captaincy is only going to end up in chaos. besides a player who is out of form and coming out of injury should be given time to find his feet rather then saddled with captaincy.
similarly blwes logic that talent, and purely talent should be the deciding criteria is what i disagree with. talent without hardwork and discipline is worthless in my opinion.

you say he is disgruntled...and so shouldn't be given back the captaincy.
now ask...why is he disgruntled in the first place?................because, someone took away his captaincy, which hit his ego....after all he is the icon player of the team.....and the best player of T-20 in that team, imo.

The management makes a mistake and then cries that there are problems to be solved...........why create the problem in the first place!

likewise, the converse is also true. without talent no quantum of hard work and dedication is going to make a difference. which is exactly my point in the case of SG. true his fitness levels have declined over the years but the guy has now been two years into his retirement. true that cant be given as an excuse for under performing but i guess the way the exit came for him did in fact break him in more ways than one. yuvi, on the other hand is experiencing the same maybe lesser maybe greater hen picking treatment that was dished out to SG at one point. it can kill a player. we have seen that earlier and again we are witness to it. i think motivation is a great weapon for any player. when they are happy and satisfied they are capable of performing not only better but surpass expectations. when not, the results are there in front of us to see

a charismatic leader no doubt but i have some issues over his fitness levels....i havent seen him dive on the field or get after the ball with a truck load of zeal(not that if you do, then that makes you a good player) but in this form where it is not only essential but paramount to save every iota of runs a tight fielding helps....sg is a good leader...maybe if he strengthens that dept it mayhave an altogether different impact on KKR.....sometimes i have seen some lethargy(or something) in him in the field...my only grudge is that....and that 88 knock will be memorable for all the right reasons to me, to you and to all(not all..that would be termed as an overexpectation)

Yesterday Gayle almost frustrated him ( and later made up for that with a blinder).
Unfortunately, the bowlers and some complacency let them down.
Yes the bowlers complacency let KKR down in one game but Ganguly's atrocious incompetent batting cost the team in more than one game over the last couple of years including this year. So now it is complete.

Very nice ..when the bowlers did very well to restrict DC in the opening match, SG's captaincy was great and got the credit. When the bowlers did not do well, SG was unfortunate.

CP ..there, is another Blweism for you. I had noted some gems on individual threads ...ab woh sab dhoondna padega

so what?
this time he is getting the credit for his batting...for inspiring Gayle to bat like he did............and he isn't getting any credit for his captaincy atleast during the fielding, becoz he couldn't create the break-thru. That happens sometimes....you win some and you lose some.................even the great captain Steve Waugh had to lose a whole lot of matches, but that doesn't make him a lesser captain. Sometimes, the opposition can bat very well ( just as Kings XI did the other day)....sometimes the tosscan become a factor

CP, the gems keep coming. What would poor Gayle have done without SG?

this time he is getting the credit for his batting...for inspiring Gayle to bat like he did
