Doesn't it get your goat?
« on: December 10, 2009, 04:19:25 AM »
I find it really irritating when recently retired players come into media and start criticising their team mates with whom they were playing a couple of seasons back and were losing or winning in the same exact way.

This Russell Arnold was a part of the SL squad till recently and look at how he is going on about the manner of defeat etc. Similar was that Kiwi guy who was put in his palce by fleming. Quite a few Paki Cricketers do this, Manjrekar started out that way....

Just because they can't do it themselves, doesn't mean they can't identify the same weaknesses in others! Perhaps they're best qualified to find the problems

During the Test series, I was listening to the "expert analysis" on Neo channel by experts like Arun Lal, Madan Lal, Gunawadene and Mohinder Amarnath. Of course, Mohinder was head and shoulders above the others who were not worth listening to.

In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.

Identify weakness by all means, provide constructive criticism it more than welcome but dont b***h and moan and expect it to be lapped up. Look at Manjrekar today, he is very clear and precise in his communication, he calls a spade and spade but not all ex cricketers are like that....
