Ind-Aus III one day - 31/Oct in Delhi
« on: October 30, 2009, 03:57:53 PM »
Match on low and slow Kotla pitch. Adv India. Slow bowlers should be difficult to handle.
Lee out of India tour returning back to Aus because of elbow injury. Big blow..and another victim of too much cricket.

if this turns out to be a low scoring match it might not be as utterly abominable as the first two games ...

on the other hand, I don't think anyone wants to see string of low scoring matches just because it makes it easier for bowlers

13 ODIs in 15 months.

ZERO tests in 2009.

that means he appeared on the cricket field for 13 days in 300 odd days......too much cricket...i think not.

IPL yes and why not. 5 extra days..... IPL pays him more than his entire career in one year.

too much cricket my foot

stands corrected..that is not my view. Aus coach says it is 'stress related' and RP has blamed Champions league already even before the series started saying it disturbed their preparation.

dont hide behind media statements of the persons who are hired to provide such - meaningless- statements. see for yourself...... 13 days of cricket this year......18 days if you include IPL, too much!!!!??

His original injury was too much cricket related - not this one. Maybe he's come back too early - first for the IPL and now for CL - thus not allowing it to heal.

Ponting was talking about CL affecting preparation - not injury - which is a fair statement in my view.

The decision to bat was a no-brainer actually. This pitch will play slower than the other two surfaces and batsmen will find it a bit difficult under lights. Ponting reckons 220-230 is a good score. He's cheered up after what happened yesterday. The Australians complained about the poor quality of the practice wickets - they were wet and unusable. Why? Because of a miscommunication about the arrival timings of the visitors. The groundsman apparently wasn't informed properly. Don't ask! This sort of stuff always happens in this part of the world.

Delhi :(

Given their bowling attack, i think the Aussie approach is a bit too over cautious. They may be just one Sehwag special away from defeat.

I was more impressed by Yuvi. Besides the fact that he broke the game open, putting India in control, he has been known to struggle on such pitches in the past.

Having said that, the dew helped India a lot (as MSD acknowledged as well) - it was always going to be tough defending that total with this Aussie attack.

Your signature is not a original Hindi dialogue.

This movie is a remake from telugu version "Pokiri". This dialogue is a word to word hindi translation of the dialogue from "Pokiri" (Hero Mahesh Babu). "Okkasaari commit ayyanante, naa maata nene vinanu".

:D I knew it was a remake of Pokkiri ..but havent seen the original

Anyway, Salman rocked in the movie - after a long time, a good role.
