Rahul Dravid is playing very intelligently, exhibiting the patience of a lion stalking his prey and waiting to pounce at the right moment.

Thata one heck of a screwed up lion...khud ke team ka g***d marwane ke lie hameshha ready

hmm looks like india loses and a lot of people come out of the wood work. First KKK and now cricinfo. welcome back dude.

dravid's an ahole for running out gambhir....COME COME NO NO GO BACK. wtf.

but he batted well. he played his role ...and with raina there the target was looking damn easy.

yusuf's batting has come up super short and he is a number 8 at best.

dhoni, coolie and yusuf couldnt contribute anything. if one of them could have gotten 40-50 we'd have won.

haha, many 'ifs'.

i think best to move on quickly. big game tomorrow

One of these days we might wanna plan for a certain Shoiab Malik instead of making him look like a Saleem Malik.

Dhoni's press conference was interesting - was he blaming himself for picking the bowlers that he did? Or were the Pakis so brilliiaaaant.

I'm looking forward to his next book "I have never seen so many runs scored from the cut shot" featuring a foreword by Sehwag.

We enjoyed that didn't we. Gambhir was playing one his best knocks ever. Could have won with 5 overs to spare despite the rubbish performance on the field.

CI figures it Gambhir's fault  ::)

http://www.cricinfo.com/iccct2009/content/current/story/426857.html

But let's get the sub-plot out of the way. Gautam Gambhir batted out of his skin and gave it away. Was he too pumped-up for his own good? Did the Pakistanis get to him? When the bat was doing all the talk, what insanity to start gesticulating wildly with the handle? And what he doing charging down the wicket for what would have, at best, been a high-risk single when fours and sixes seemed the natural order? And pray, why didn't he put in a dive?

yeah well cricinfo is cricinfo.

dravid's call - he hit it straight and hard to mid off. and he called gambhir down. then said no thanks. in fact in the prelude to that there were probably 4 instances of confusion between the two. most of the time it looked like dravid's fault

Screwed up with the batting PP too. :BangHead: They should have taken it the over after Raina walloped Malik.

Confusions in running between the wickets were abysmal to say the least. if you were coming in at #3 at least I thought one would talk to your partner about it either during practice or during the match. But it is is also true that Gambhir did not even try to get back/dive/stretch his bat and expecting Yunis to miss the target and save him.
RD should not be our #3. if pitches are flat as it seems me then better play Raina at #3 or even MSD at #3.
Also our bowlers must be the worse in the world in this tournament except may be this WI team. In a tournament where RR could matter, not even trying to play out all the overs and get as much near to opposition total is ridiculous.

I have a sneaky feeling that this is going to be the regular pattern of things to come...until Yuvraj and Sehwag return.
This team will find it difficult to beat even a depleted WI.
