Harbhajan Singh found himself in yet another controversy when he allegedly punched a cameraman at the Bengaluru International Airport on Wednesday before leaving with the Indian team for the tri-series in Sri Lanka.

Although sections of the media reported that he had punched the cameraman, some photographers present at the venue said he did nothing of the sort.

The cameraman was trying to get a shot of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Harbhajan's hand came in his way.

The lensman accidently ended up hitting the off-spinner's head with the camera.

Harbhajan, who was angered by the same, merely pushed the camera aside and walked away.

The video alongside should give a clear picture of the incident.

Judge for yourself. Was Harbhajan guilty of hitting the cameraman? Are television channels just creating unnecessary controversy?

At times, I feel bad abt these players, who are always being followed by the crazy cameramen. As if this was not enough WADA wants more insight into their daily activities.

Without watching the video, one would think he really punched the cameraman. The video shows clearly he was trying to aim for camera and not the individual.

Harbhajan Singh [ Images ] found himself in fresh controversy on Wednesday after jabbing at a photographer at the Bangalore International Airport before leaving for the tri-series in Sri Lanka [ Images ].

The feisty off-spinner, who is often in the news for all the wrong reasons, punched the lensman after his camera hit him on the head while he was taking his luggage out from a car before entering the airport.

Harbhajan gave an angry stare to the cameraman even as security personnel tried to push back the hordes of lensmen who had virtually mobbed the cricketer.

The 29-year-old Punjab [ Images ] spinner has a rather dubious disciplinary record, having been penalised for various offences during his career.

He was accused of racially abusing Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds [ Images ] in Sydney [ Images ], and the 2007 'monkey-gate' incident snowballed into a major crisis, threatening to tear apart the cricketing world.

The same year, Harbhajan was banned during the Indian Premier League [ Images ] after the infamous 'slap-gate', which saw him slap his India teammate S Sreesanth [ Images ] in Mohali

and what did he do? try to get a camera out of his face? It is clear that the camera was in his personal space. Infact you can say that the cameraman attacked Bhajji. Maybe he should file an attempted murder FIR against the cameraman. Afterall trying to hit someone in the head with a heavy object is much more dangerous!

Oh thanks for this , I stand corrected, in this instance Bhajji did not even do anything. All he did was push away someone who literally could have injured his head.

Although I do not appreciate his behaviour in general, here I do not see anything wrong. Any celebtity pushes away the camera if it intrudes in his/her face. It is only a "thappad" to the camera.

i agree. but we do have a couple of doctors on the board who could prescribe you guys some antacid and sleep aid.  Heck we even have doctors on the gangulian side .... what say inoc
