MI'ans weeded out.

Some players are just losers and some winners.

This man Warne is a Winner.

Two 4's from Nayar loosens up bit .
27  of 17. As per CP , 9 8 7 6 5 out of 10 times they should win it .

It is amazing to see with a team where YPathan looks to be one man Army, This guy can produce results.
Compare that with  Bravo,Sachin,Jayasrya,Duminy,Malinga HS etc..

From the other thread

Quote from: winningnow
There is the last over choke - like KKRs, there is the last few overs choke - Like DC today and MI the other day against the DC .. and then there is the overall choke - like MI did against KXIP : not chasing a very gettable 120!

Overall choke            - Check (143 was gettabled without this retarded batting lineup)
last few overs choke - Check
Last over choke        - Check

Hey my 9 out of 10 scenario only covers real teams. These chokers who lose a winning game dont count.

Come now. 4 needed of 6 balls in the last over ..... with wickets in hand. It had come down to that. So that 27 off 17 scenario should count since they scored 23 off next 11 balls.

I cant account for these idiot chokers

The 23 of 11 is mostly because Nayar went psycho. If you count psycho innings, you should also count brain freezes :)

He simply is a genius.. to me for the simple fact that he got an idiot like Munaf to bowl one of the best last overs ever bowled in 20-20 cricket. I mean who woulda thunk that Munna will bowl an over in 20-20 where 4 runs are needed of the last over and the opposition scores 1 run and loses 3 wickets.
I keep saying it is all mental in the end -- and I never thought Munna would ever be strong mentally.

BTW, kudos to Warne.. on a bum hamstring, he dived and got that final run out... just like he did it in that game against KKR.

This RR team should on paper be languishing in last place and are clearly in the top 4 for one reason - Shane Warne.

Entirely agree. 6 runs off 9 balls ...Nayar well set ..Bhajji is no mug with the bat and no demon bowler -- if you still cant pull it off (with Botha throwing in a wide for good measure) what else do you call it?

Choke is too mild a word IMO.

Man this RR team is so frail.  They have no one basically to finish off in case Yusuf Pathan is not there in the end.  Honestly man to man they are the worst team on paper.

Mumbai up now.

RR with a weak lineup because of Warne fighting as hard a team can.

But that can get you only so far.

Well, they may end up winning IPL-2. I will not be surprised....

meh..I don't really think munaf bowled a particularly brilliant over. That ball to nanda would have smashed for a boundary if it was any regular batsmen. Moreover, inexperience from malinga, tried to pierce the gap through the packed offside and get a boundary, instead of being sensible and touch it to midwicket/squareleg where the fielders were deeper.

MI needs tailenders who can put bat to ball and atleast get 2-3 runs!
