Old matches archive
« on: March 30, 2006, 04:25:25 PM »
Dhruv and the rest,
I dont know if this is practical in the short run but perhaps, we should download and archive all the worthwhile cricket links available freely on the net. Already, some of the google links provided by Sahir dont work. This way, we wont lose any classics.

Blwe, I dont know if we can maintain those old articles. The problem is, though they are available on the respective newspaper's website for a certain period of time, I dont think we have the right to use it after that. Some, like NYTimes archive the older articles and then ask for a small charge to access them. So, even if we give credit to the right people, it still might not be the right move.

As for the videos, since they are found free on google video or some similar site, isnt there a loophole there?
