As all of you can see, there's a prediction league tab on top--it is a software add-on which was designed to run a soccer fantasy league and I've adapted it for cricket.

For IPL, we'll run two leagues--one for a "pot" while the other will just be the usual prediction with no $ involved.

Predict team X's score:   10
Points team Y's score:   10
Predict winner correctly:  5
Predict the match score accurately: 10

why are only 4 matches shown ? Where is the 5th match on April 17 ?

That should be a legacy of the soccer league, goals for and against. Here I guess it will be the runs scored by each team.

I think you should keep a +/-5% or so range for the scores part ..if that is allowed by the software ..else this is likely to be totally redundant in most cases

A range for the score prediction is good but there must be an additional bonus for exact score/scores also.

Correct--you don't outright pick a winner; that is implied by the scores you pick.

Impossible...yes...most of the points will come through predicting winners...that's just a lottery option.

No, that option is not there yet. Redundant--most likely...but cricket is such...and even % would make it messy.

Perhaps instead we can do "how many wickets lost"? guess would be 1 out of 10 then...

Or extrapolate the score to what they would have scored for the scores part of the contest

Can you change the tab name and to something more meaningful like Fantasy Pick'Em ? Frequent fantasy players can relate to this better IMO.

What do you get  if you have luck of Millennium :  5 points

I'm not sure I understand. Most pick 'ems simply involve picking the winner; this is doing the exact same thing. Winner is obviously the team that scores most runs. So, what's random about it? Have you seen the page? I shouldn't say implicit...it is very explicit who the winner would be!

You get 5 points (and it can be 500 if you prefer) for picking the winner. What's random about it--you have a 50-50 chance. Are you confusing predicting the exact score with predicting the winner?

For a correct prediction you get FIVE points (there's a little less than 50% chance of doing so, given that some matches end in a draw)

Part 2:
You're actually selecting the team score Australia scores (that's why there are numbers 1 to 500 as I didn't think any team would score more than 500...for Tests I'll change it to 1 to 1000.) Similarly, you're also selecting the South African score. Now chances of getting this right are not very high (and it isn't supposed to be)--because most points will come from predicting the winner. Any time you guess a team's score accurately you get 10 points for each correct guess.

well technically, 12th man can still pick the prediction as 0 and 1 with 0 being loser and 1 being winner. The prediction will still hold
