Karunanidhi wanted cabinet positions for his daughter, Kanimozhi, son, Azhagiri, and grand nephew Maran. And to think I have an issue with Shivlal Yadav!

I guess it is good this Daddy of Stalin wears dark glasses so he does not have to look anyone in the eye.

Congress wanted only Maran in the cabinet. He actually is the only good guy. Other two are crooks and they will get now some important posts.

BTW, TC which said it would provide "unconditional" support to the UPA Govt, has now taken the same stance as the Communists : No Privatisation, No Foreign companies in Retail/Insurance etc.

I think the TMC is manageable. Mamata needs the Congress for the 2011 polls in WB. Plus the UPA is not as dependent on TMC this time as it was on Left last time around.

In any case, I dont think this government will do too much on higher FDI in retail / insurance or even privatisation. The Congress itself is a left of centre party and those policies have brought it back to power. The focus is likely to be more on social sector, rural and education reforms. Whatever happens on privatisation or FDI would be more in the nature of tweaking rather than full fledged relaxations.

well he is good if the comparison is against stalin/azhagiri ;)

cong wants maran not because he is good but because he owns sun network

the street rowdy azhagiri should have been made LS speaker - if anyone raises his/her voice, he will unleash the soda bottle and cycle chain  ;D ;D

Since Maran, Stalin, and Azhagiri don't even see eye to eye with each other, i'm sure they will split if/when Karuna dies.

Well, unless these guys get wiped out in TN, they will be present in whichever government is formed at the centre. If they get wiped out, Amma will be part of the government. So whatever happens, one leg of the government formation exercise will always be in TN.

For a minute after looking at the names in bold I thought they were wanted in the Mumbai Terror attacks. :P  Good thing KIC clarified above.
