btw, because of the quirky ranking system, SA will move closer to Aus if they win/draw the CapeTown test because last time's margin was 3-0. If SA win, they move within 2 pts fo Aus and if they draw, SA move within 3 pts of Aus.

Sounds stupid. So, if we win in NZ where we lost last time, how high will we jump?

well, looks like the calculations have been modified/fixed (thankfully).

As per the new calculations, Aus will move to 130 and SA will be 121 if the final series scoreline is 2-1. And if Aussies win 3-0, SA will be 119 and Aus 133.

Even if we win 3-0 against NZ, we go up from 118 to 122

well i guess the one good thing that has come out of this aussie revival is that it will be harder for the likes of symonds to disgrace the game with their presence again ...
