Is this real intelligence or is it the defense minister shooting off his mouth ?

if it is the latter it is sad. it is causing panic. i guess now politicians will err so much on the side of caution that they will go about making blanket general statements causing panic and rumors.

it could well be a false campaign started ... so that once nothing happens ... government can say ... look we had intelligence and we acted on it and prevented it !!!  >:(

New Delhi: Security has been tightened at all airports following an intelligence warning.

According to intelligence agencies, there is a possibility of an Indian airplane being hijacked small airports where security checks are less stringent.

Airports in small cities like Jaipur, Chandigarh, Nashik and Guwahati are at maximum risk.

Intelligence agencies have alerted small airports and air marshals are being sent to sensitive sectors.

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security is carrying out checks across the country. Earlier, there were rumours of a bag being found at Mumbai airport but those were found to be false.

According to some media reports, Deccan Mujahidden, a little-known organisation that claimed responsibility for Mumbai attacks, has sent an e-mail threatening to attack three Indian airports.

Intelligence agencies believe that the Deccan Mujahideen is a front created by LeT for it's Mumbai strikes.

well if the authorities were thinking of dilly dallying this threat makes sure that that will not happen ... good in a sense ...

while the intelligence lapse and mumbai attack is a great shame for our country ... the fact that this threat can even come within 4 days is a second slap on the face.

i do think we have already delayed the response. by this time bombing inside pakistan should have begun ...
