bloody hell. I wake up from jet lag.... thinking atleast i can watch some cricket and it is raining. Shame on Bangalore for doing this! I think it is DD who is to blame

As per reports:
5.50 to 7.30 I inngs
7.45 to 11.15 II inngs LOCAL TIME
BUT.........
5.50 to 7.30 for 1st inngs. ie 1 hr 40 min for eng to bowl 47-14=33 overs! India will bowl from 7.45 to 11.15 ie proper 3hr 30 min for 47(!) overs
It appears something wrong. half time is not at the exact middle of two inngs

at least one good thing this time,
they are using extra 1 hr, cutting lunch by 30 min and reducing overs by 3 only. Great, but will it be feasible?

Srinath making a lot of sense!!!

Talks about what he had to go through when he had decided to rest for some meaningless ODI's. And how the selectors talked behind his back.

Also talks about the need to get to Aus and Eng about 2 weeks ahead of time and the struggle the players go through in the decision making process. Spend time at home vs get used to the conditions. BCCI will not reduce the amount of cricket no matter what.

It is 44-overs a side now. PP1 reduced to 9 overs, PP2 and PP3 reduced to 4 overs !!! But Eng bowled 1 more over assuming that it was a PP !! That apparently will be considered as part of the batting PP.

What is unknown now is whether India have to assume that next 3 are part of the batting PP or they can take a 3-over chunk later

Yes. If they include todays score in. I had earlier expressed concern that you don't have any of the top3, Which can hurt at times. you put the blame on liquidity in and unavailable credit in market.
