Awesome game.. Cards have a good coach and if they get a decent defense they can be a contender even next year. Their offense is spectacular.

Warner should be in the hall of fame.. this loss notwithstanding

Cards should only get better....of course there is the impending switch to Leinart that may be a little rough. I think their greatest need is an RB at the moment on offense. Defense can beefed up.

A great season comes to an end - we may not have one like this for a while.

And Warner in HOF. Please retire so you don't have to take ridiculous hits and ruin the rest of your life...you have nothing left to prove.

The TD catch by Holmes from Big Ben to put the Steelers up for good would rank as one of the all the time great Super Bowl moments.  This is on par with Montana to Dwight Clark TD catch which helped the 49ers win the Super Bowl that is played over and over again for years now on various NFL network highlights and promotions.  History made despite an erratic penalty ridden game which reflects on the mental state of a team in big games.

Agreed but I think Cards played well despite the penalties - many teams would have imploded under the pressure after so many penalties but they fought back pretty hard. Steelers won deservedly but you get the feeling it could have gone either way today just on the basis of the refs calls.

Wasnt the Super Bowl -- it was the NFC Championship game against Dallas.

It perhaps is.  Always go by my memory for most part and on occasions it deserts me.  Nevertheless that was indeed a signature moment in NFL is what I was getting at.

That is true.  40 is not that old but sometimes I seem to trust my memory too much without checking into the facts.
