this is what our cricketers do after a loss. he was also spotted during the test hanging out with her. well i really dont see anything wrong with it considering he cant possibly think about cricket all the time. just interesting to see how people deal with losses.

Well. Yuvi wanted to score somewhere yesterday. So, since he couldn't do it on the field, he was perhaps trying off the field   :P :P

Whats wrong with Yuvraj Singh hanging out with his girlfriend? Just because you suffered a loss doesnt mean you lose such rights.

This is as ridiculous a news item as I can imagine. Look he has a professional life and a personal life...which should be separate. Of course, something bad happened in his professional life...should that impact what he does in his personal life. I say, NO. We all have bad days at the office..does not mean we go and take it out on our families/girl friends. If anything they are there as an outlet and support.

What are these people expecting him to do.. sulk in his room, go do tapasya, get drunk alone?

I agree with some of you guys that Yuvraj can do what he wants off the field as long as he is committed on the field.  But the way they played yesterday and embarassed themselves I would not be any where in the public spotting.  That is just me taking a loss personally.   Also I have seen Yuvraj and he always was a guy who I thought is talented and not committed enough.  I have seen Kumble/RD/SRT but he does not seems to have the same committment.   Also he is overrated as a player to a point and I never see him being a good test batsman.  The guy seem to get too many chances and that assurance sometimes can have a reverse effect.  Again this is just my opinion.

rams, he was the 9th wicket to fall. Do you think there was any hope after 8 wkts fell for 98? He has been doing well in recent times. Also, this commitment to cricket cannot be easily deduced from his personal life. YS is a very fit person and si among the better fielders. If he had a potbelly like some esteemed openers in our team do, then you had a point. Also, unlike in his early days, the team mgment seems to be very happy with the work he puts in for his batting and training.
It shows that he has turned a corner.
Now, if he opts to have the odd drink or go to a party when there is no cricket involved, the people should be mature enough to let his personal life be his. This is unlike the case of Kambli where booze and partying started affecting his cricket.

And everyone is not an SRT or an RD. In an interview recently, RD said that his idea of letting his hair down was being with his closest friends and relatives or (take a breath here) reading a book!! SRT loves spending time with his kids and cooking. Different people are just tuned differently.
This is where the Aussie crowd is much more mature. They dont expect the players to ignore their personal life as long as it doesnt affect their career. Or maybe, they dont care even if it affects their cricket because as soon as it affects their cricket, they are chucked out.

Toney, That is just my opinion.   I have seen enough of him.  To me he is not test material.  I have seen fitter guys.  That does not make you a good batsman.  He does not have the technique.  If Venu Rao is given so many chances and assured he will turn the corner as well.  As for his personal life I could care less.  He could be screwing women in the elevator.  Does not bother me.

I don't mind Yuvi hanging out with his GF after the match is over. But although it's his personal matter, knowing the history of their relationship from various media reports (I know one shouldn't trust everything), it seems like a very unstable one and I hope it's not affecting Yuvi. I heard of a break up in the recent past and Kim was immediately spotted with someone else. Now they are supposedly back again. Alright, good luck to them.
