Dear Keep-it-cool

Was slightly confused by your post - please forgive me

"We Miss This Spirit! We miss you" and the pictures which were appended by Cardus - suggested a blame game to your  mind ?

Are we both reading the same english words ? Or does "some-one misses SG" in your mind automatically translate to "that guy BLAMES someone" ?

If yes, maaan, you need serious therapy

Boss, there is life beyond blame - when you reach a slightly older age - you would perhaps discover a phrase called "wistful longing".

But then, I may have completely misunderstood the hidden intent of the words - that you caught

It was very disappointing to watch the loss.  I will get into the details a little later on.  In meetings for better part of the morning.  I promised the DG'ians a win I will take but if not I will take off on the DG.   I will a little later.

Can't say. Frankly, such surrenders have happened during his time as captain as well. And several times before. I do not remember his personal stats in such situations too, except that he did play well in the match where we chased 280 odd down against SL.

Point is, I am convinced that this Kaalnemi Greg is fostering such a culture of fear, esp among the older players, that now such results have become INEVITABLE!

Dear Keep-it-cool

"We Miss This Spirit! We miss you" and the pictures which were appended by Cardus - suggested a blame game to your  mind ?

Are we both reading the same english words ? Or does "some-one misses SG" in your mind automatically translate to "that guy BLAMES someone" ?

Boss, there is life beyond blame - when you reach a slightly older age - you would perhaps discover a phrase called "wistful longing".

But then, I may have completely misunderstood the hidden intent of the words - that you caught

Regards
DKG

DKG, I am sorry I confused you ... that was not the intent! And if you think you need to be forgiven for being confused, then I am all too willing to oblige.

I also assure you that, in my opinion, you have not missed any "hidden intent" in the words; what you do seem to have missed is the slightly broader perspective of my post - which I shall try to elaborate on a bit more below.

If you look at my post above, the direct response to the pics posted above and the "WE MISS THIS SPIRIT, WE MISS YOU" tag / words / statement (just so as to avoid further confusion) was "as do bowlers all around the world". That was a tongue in cheek statement, an attempt at some humour - which seems to have been lost somewhere in translation.

Now, what I stated separately (please note I not only started a new paragraph, but also left one complete line in between) was an added observation of my own. The observation was not only to what is implied on this thread (maybe, I read something more into the "same English words" coz I did not look at them in isolation) but also several other threads that seem to have sprung up and posts by several members on different threads. Maybe I should have started a whole new thread on this. But I have tried to, till now, refrain from using every other opportunity to flog the same old dead horse again and again.

Obviously, everyone is entitled to an opinion on every issue and an opinion on how, when and where to express their opinions. At the same time, I am sure we can all express our observations on each others opinion - which is what I was trying to do and expect others to do as well.

And last, but not the least - all suggestions on therapies that may be needed by me and efforts to improve my vocabulary are welcome. Just one rider - I reserve the right to decide on whether to accept the suggestions.

Cheers

In the words on the immortal Sherry, "as cool as a penguin on hard ice, janaabe aala, as cool as a penguin on hard ice ... Guruuuuuu, bujhi ko rakh kehte hain, jali ko aag kehte hain, jo bandha cool nahin rehta, use namakool kehte hain"

now, go figure that out ..  ;) shall applaud you every day for a month if you can get to the hidden meaning in those words

The topless picture certainly reminds me of that wonderful match and the message to the uptight snobs of the MCC

No I dont mean the physical beauty of his body, just the courage in going against tradition and doing the unthinkable in Snobistan.

who/what is paintal? Sorry for my ignorance.

Abt the build: I dont deserve to find fault. After opting out of exercise and any kind of fitness regime from August 05, I am not exactly blessed with six pack abs and muscles that will give  Arnold a complex
