In my case, the bangla fonts just weren't there...........I didn't get the Bitstream download dialogue box at all.

Neither did I. It just opened the page out of the box. But you actually cannot read it, because it can't render many characters.

Looks like it might actually be borrowing something from IE after all. Just like Firefox has IE tabs which use IE as the rendering engine.

Bitstream fonts are required for other Indian languages too, like Telugu.

This can be reported as a problem...

Read what Google has to say about "Incognito browsing":

"For times when you want to browse in stealth mode, for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito won't be logged in your browsing and download histories; all new cookies are deleted after you close the incognito window. You can browse normally and in incognito mode at the same time by using separate windows."

Google will take the credit for more and more birthday surprises now...

btw, "Incognito Mode" is also known as "Porn Mode" in some internet communities  ;D

I upload photos on Google photos using picasa. Very conveniently this is not working properly on my win XP machine (after installing SP3 - don't know if it matters). Was forced to install chrome. Surprise - works fine with chrome  ;D

The Chrome works well with the Google applications and experiences some problem with the Microsoft supported products, like Facebook etc........and no wonder that IE works very fine there.
