PS: If you just type "Virat Kohli captain India" CV is the 15th link. My goals for the last quarter of this year are set.

The problem is that we don't always get such complete batsmen, and then we have to make a choice about whether to go for fast scorers (Note that I am not saying stroke players: there are batsmen who have every stroke in the book, but choose to select strokes with less risk and less runs in general), or solid batsmen. What I am saying is that even if Badri does not belong to the complete cricketer category, it would be important to find a place for him as a solid cricketer to lend balance to our side.

Agree with you. Anyways, there are very few complete batsmen. IMO, we have had only one who can switch effortlessly between tests and ODIs over his career - Sachin.
While he would not fall under the league of 'complete batsmen', Ganguly too could switch between the two modes of the game.

I think it is ok to call Ganguly Complete. I mean he was a complete failure. Made sure to up his sr in tests and lower it in ODI's. Totally complete
