so after much cajoling from the missus i did catch up with this movie

it's just about funny in parts and thats it.

the acting was all hamming

genatalia dsouza needs to be in shriek not in the movies

imran was so goody goody he actually reminded me of a aamir khan which is not a good thing for this people who think thats a good think

the music was insipid

and i thought the hero and his girfreind meghana had much btter chemistry going than the lead pair

also i cant understand what the big hoo-haa int he media about preteek babbar. someone wrote a great role for this guy and he was so wooden. people want a smita patil redux but it ain't him baby.

the climax was nicely handled is what i can say

what was good in the moive:

naseer's role and his acting,
anuradha patel - again reiterating india lost a good actress to the silly 80s
the background score with some effective jazz tracks

you can actually watch it for naseer who is the best actor in the world i have seen

Agree about Pratiek ..looks very wooden.

BTW, you are taking a tp movie too seriously. I think it had lots of fun moments ..sort of a modern day Love Story combined with Dil Chahta Hai.

agree with you. it was totally timepass - great show imo. lots of laughs, and quite a cool storyline.
the air hostess chick was really annoying. as was the fat dude and the gujju fellow. in fact the acting was not of a very good standard. imran khan was alright and meghna was quite good i thought - the rest werent.

genelia is pretty but GO TO ACTING SCHOOL

naseerudin is SUPER hahaha. as were baalloo and bagheera

and the music was just right for the movie IMO - seriously i am addicted to kabhi kabhi aditi.

lots and lots of situations and people i could relate to in the movie - that was well handled also...

exactly WN DCH was one of the few hindi movies i have seen twice in a week in the theatre plus number of times on tv. it was really fresh. ditto for Love Story and QSQT. even JJWS was fresh with a great ensemble of young folks, very memorable.

i mean betaab now thats a memorable film again seen it hazar times and can still see once more

this one was atleast imo was tp in parts - climax when the police catch him and then the security guy has to sing on the walkietalkie, the khan bros whenever they were there on screen and of course naseer.

babbar's lines were real cute

but you see the film was about the magic that the 6 kids in the group could create but then finally they had to rely on the buffonery of the khans and shah to get them through

yeah it was not so tp imo but then thats me and its subjective too i guess :)

Thoroughly enjoyed JTYJN

Aamir was good as well ...but was lifted largely from a Phillipine movie (Cavite .. saw this later ... much more gruesome and a different ending ...but otherwise very similar)

I liked Rock On (good time pass), Mumbai Meri Jaan (found it a bit too preach however) and A Wednesday (very good) as well.

But, the best movie by far this year has been Hijack ...several reasons:

a) Esha Deol has the best dialogue - "do you know what a hijack is? do you know what a hijack means?"
b) use of a different cinematic tool - a dream song within a flash back.

Coming back to JTYJN, Rehman Rocks!! My favourite track is "Nazrein Milana"

Having said that, even he can't beat the King - Himesh Reshammiya - who is coming soon with a classic - KARZZZ.

Listen to "Tak Tananana Tandoori Nights" and his rendition of "Ek Haseena Thi" to know what soulful music really is. And when you have Himesh himself "dancing" to these tracks, guitar in had, and Urmila head over heels in love with him, what more does one want!!

Jai Mata Di ... Letzzz Rockkk

Tubelight ... so was JFK's, I believe :D

On a more serious note, I am a Himesh fan - it is amazing how far he has come against all kinds of criticism ... one could call him the Kaif of Bollywood! He makes some good, original music as well unlike over rated photocopiers such as Anu Malik, Rajesh Roshan and Pritam. If only he would go a bit slow on the singing part ....

first show will be difficult since even himesh cant keep me away from work these days ...last show is a possibility .. IF i am able to get tickets

the zzzz is just to unequivocally indicate that this is the last word on reincarnation ... not Karz, not Karan Arjun, not Om Shanti Om!

but they went and bought the remake rights all the same - in their words "to be on the safe side"  :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch:

try and get the DVD ... one BIG coincidence if it is not lifted / inspired
