Credit to RD for bringing it this close.

to kumble you mean...

Does all the credit for wins under SG goes to the bowlers?

usually credit is received for stars of the 2nd innings when defending a low total...and what the hell does this have to do with ganguly  ??? ???

dravid batted well but without kumble was the star today.

Dravid batted well ( ..and he has been the best batsman of this side by a mile) and captained brilliantly defending that low total. He kept faith in Kumble in spite of Kumble leaking runs and going wicket less in the earlier matches and Kumble has paid off his captain's trust in the last two matches.
Luck of course matters a lot

The balance RD brought into his talk in the closing ceremony was 'priceless'... great cricketers don't lose it when the chips are down nor when the going is good...

Good to see a semblance of smile back on RD's face  :icon_thumleft:

PS : I have a small collection of RD's talk in a Corporate "internal meeting" where he was an invitee.. Will post when I find some reasonable time...

This is what happens I suppose when you are dreaming of the semi finals instead of the job at hand. Complacency at its worst. A performance on par with Srikants moronic pre game chatter.
Good one for BRC. Though they too were pathetic with the bat and for a good while with the ball too.
