so ? does that mean you should get booed ?

Which again takes us back to the point ..  "Booing is not the sole right of any specific city or region as some would like us to believe"  ::zzz::

It happens everywhere and will happen... our understanding of the intensity is based on crowd attending the matches .. and what gets focused on TV
we, in chennai, dont boo. we appreciate our indian heroes. esp when tendulkar was here you should have heard the way all of us cheered for him and wished him on his birthday.

when a chelsea or liverpool or for that matter Arsenal player get booed at old trafford they dont remind the crowd that they play for England

that is one of the main reasons why english foot ball team is going down the drain.

if you want to prevent that happenin with the indian cricket team better send reminders.

Yuvraj let the crowd have it in the ceremony. He said I want to thank the crowd for their support, which was very one sided for Mumbai team, they should not forget that some of the Punjab boys play for India.

and whats wrong with the Mumbai crowd supporting thier home team.... Should they be cheering Punjab or Yuvraj Singh..
nothing wrong but one would appreciate if they were not so unncessarily hostile. what was that booing dhoni the other night all abt ?

they booed SG too - mumbai crowd is the most partisan i've seen on IPL so far.

And why not?? We support our team wholeheartedly .. and try to get under the skin of our opponents .. all part of the khadoos culture
what khadoos culture dude ? i thot mumbaikars were some of the best ppl in the world ..

dude, if u havent heard of the khadoos mumbai culture, u really havent followed much of indian first class cricket

i have heard of the players being highly competitive and ruthless. not the crowds. anyway does the mumbai crowd really flock the wankhede for ranji trophy games ?

to each his own

btw ..everyone will cheer tendulkar ... that is hardly a criterion.

not nowadays .. but, do try to go to some of the ODIs or test matches and see how the opposition fielders at the boundary cop it .. the same used to happen in the Ranji trophy earlier especially when they play against the likes of their traditional rivals, maharashtra.. i have only been to one or two, but am told by friends that the intensity can, at times, get too much for the fielder.

chika is not one of the us ... yes he is a CSk supporter like us .. but he is also a brand ambassador. it is his job to keep harping abt them ... which he is doing well.

Uthappa is an utter waste... pathetic... as pips said should have sacrificed his wicked but i think it has something to do with IKPs bouncer that hit him on his head... lost it completely

uthappa is fat, portly, sports the most hideous hairstyle in the history of mankind, is arrogant, has attitude problems (as per rumors), is a very limited batsman and is taking himself down the drain.

have you seen him bow to the crowd after he takes a catch? cheeeeeesy! i think uthappa should be replaced by Yousuf Pathan in the ODIs pronto.

yeah yusuf pathan should def make it to the squad immediately. but we should also consider abhishek nayar. he seems an infinitely better batsman than uthappa

Nayar reminds me of Dravid - he too taps the crease with his bat while awaiting a delivery.

Chika is not one of you  ???

Irrespective of what this DG thinks of him... he is one of TN cricket's favorite sons...far more than Venkat...
You have to see it to believe the ovation he would get when he walked down the MAC stadium pavilion.. the entire crowd would go "Cheeka..Cheena..."  for Srikkanth and T E Srinivasan.... oh...those were the days  ::cheers::

It would be heartening to note that he had a great fan following in Bangalore as well... The crowd would wait for him to bat... once he was gone... it was Azhar and then the crowd would vanish.. I have seen this happen in a SZ v WZ Deodhar Trophy match

you got me wrong .. i meant he is more than just a supporter (unlike the rest of us) he is a supporter as well as brand ambassador .. so naturally he has to keep harping about CSK !
