0.6 Shoaib Akhtar to de Villiers, 1 run, fires that on a good length and tucks him up, he stays back and tucks it softly towards Ganguly at cover, he gathers the ball and hits the stump at the non-strikers end and de Villiers just makes it, the other fielders celebrate but the third umpire adjudicates

Good - 2020 results in improved fielding

Akhtar's performance is equivalent to what McCullum did to BRC in the first match..........super impact! ::cheers::
Just pray , he does not go the same way though   :evil4:

Yes, I just thought the same.................Shukla is the latest star performer though................
btw Akash Chopra is lucky for SG.......2 matches he played, both KKR won!....he is also lending some solidity to the top order which was missing.
This is the same Chopra, who played an important role when SG played hsi 2 important series abroad...Australia and Pakistan...............as captain.
SG's family is very superstitious.  May be that's why Akash Chopra is playing.

great job, KKR!

"SG could never defend low totals" - hehehe!

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: to dada and his men..they are playing like a team without any star batsman really..this shows t20 is not all about batting..the team is clearly inspired about shoaib's presence..shows dada is still right about few things and primarily team composition..is there any other stadium in the world that can match eden gardens and its electric atomosphere?? :notworthy: :notworthy:

God also wanted to have a look at Tiwary.  Delhi seems clueless after Shewag and Gambhir.  Glad that Tiwary didn't play a large innings today but hope he plays in other matches.

Don't agree with u blwe on chopra being providing stability ... if that be the case, then SG can take up that job with a better strike rate...luck factor, may be, but that shudn't be factor for persisting him with . I think SG can promote Taibu up the order and include Das for the next game...

Not sure if they can get away with a bowler short ... don't expect SG to come up with a decent show consistently .... I guess the problem won't go away just by adding an extra bat, they need to make sure that the present line fire asap ... there's no denial that KKR lacks quality T20 player barring Hussey....

I also saw in the other match that he dived to save a run out against BRC.  So 2020 is doing it.

not to boast or anything...but WHO WAS RIGHT ABOUT AKTHAR? Blwe and me...ahem....

So was I

Yes I remember!
SG in great mood..says, 'hope the national selectors are watching'! ;D :D
Hope this is a tongue-in-cheek remark.. seriously, why does he do such silly stuff in public...immediately after a great win. He should stay away from cheap potshots!

GREAT WIN for KKR!!! BOWLING WINS GAMES.... 20-20 is not for batsmen only!!!

what's the "potshot" here?  ??? it was said in jest.

all said and done, KKR still looks shaky in its batting - over-reliant on Hussey and SG firing.

KKR's batting is miserable.  They had two good batting outing - one based on McCullum and another on SG.  Most of the scores are pretty low.  They have been primarily surviving though bowling.  I hope that this match gives confidence to Butt to go outd score faster.  Hopefully SG, Hussey, Saha  and Shukla now fire in every match to make 30-40 runs each.
