it really doesen't matter - all that matters is how many runs you score and how many games you win for your country - not how stylishly you play - most people will remembers your match winning innings mroe than how stylish you played.

I remember Lara's 277, 153*, and 200 against Aus to draw, win, and win tests more than anything else.

Also, if u take Steve Waugh's name, what comes immediately to my mind is his battling 200 against Ambrose+Walsh and Co comes immediately where he helped Aus win the series in WI.

why lara ? take someone who has achieved much less performance wise. say david gower. i would still watch his tapes than border's.
