Was Mumbai good or KKR bad . I did not watch this but know it has to be a bit of both .
In TT early wickets should not mean that much , all you need is  couple of batsmen come good and tailenders slog a bit , that can take you to 150.
KKR seem to have batting woos .
Anyway  mumbai is on board now .

This one is a goner for us! :(

Who is us? I am happy that Mumbai won for the sake of nostalgy. Moreover, Jayasurya has been admirable. One more prrof point that the Test legends can sometimes deliver in this T20 format - like Warne and McGrath.

KKR is batting too badly...to say the least.
Only one good performance by McCullum  in the first match....and some gritty performances by L R Shukla...............nothing else to talk abgt.
SG needs to pull up his socks.

Early days.. but looks like CSK, RR and DD are taking the 3 SF spots.. the rest are fighting for that last one.

DD has still to show some more steel .
Apart from GG and VS others need to click . I dont think they have been tested enough yet.

After todays match, I would rate CSK,RR  higher than others.

just saw the replay..

Fantastic efforts by Das, SJ, Pollock, Shukla, Ishant, Uthappa, and my MOM Bravo...amazing batting!!!!

I think the Indians missed a trick by not appointing SP as captain earlier!!

Ball of the tournament so far

Ishant Sharma's bowling out Jayasuriya... not seen a wicket go cartwheeling in a very long time

KKR is sliding... SG needs to get his act going lest SRK decides to start singing Om shanti Om

Playing that guy Hafeez was a real waste when they had Salman Butt sitting on the bench.

His only over to a large extent eased the pressure on MI ... and AA does not disappoint...his four every over has been consistently maintained

KKR batting has done nothing of note in the tournament other than mccullums opening blast.

I was sitting 4 rows behind SRK and his glam entourage and to be very honest would rather watch real cricket at the Eden Gardens. The ambience was great and Eden Gardens as pretty and filled with buzz as ever but cricket was scrappy at best and these days Clubhouse is filled with people who know nothing about cricket but everything about cricketers. May be this is harsh and only reflective of the T20 variety which in a way is the only silver lining of a continuous and perhaps inevitable threat to real cricket.

btw...this Gony is looking ok so far........but only by our lowly Indian standards...we are used to seeing Gursharan Singh, Kumaran, VRV etc.
I think, he is basically an ordinary bowler................my way of ascertaining this is easy.....I just think, if I can play this bowler or not.........if the answer is 'yes'.......then obviously, he isn't great shakes! :D

But Ishaant is quite a handful...

LOL ... Isnt this the same Kumaran who Tony Greig was calling the best death bowler in India when he was playing in the ICL??
